- Newcastle Islamic Centre commemorated the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussain (A.S) and his companions from Sunday 7th July to Thursday 18th, please arrive on time from 7:45 PM
Every evening the programme started with recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by the recitation of Ziarat Aashura. Then, it continued with the speech both in English and Persian by Shaikh Araki i. After that Azadari and Maddahi along with jama’at prayers of Maghrib and Isha were performed. At the end Nazri dinner was served to lovers of Imam Hussain (A.S).
Main messages from the speaker: Imam Hussain (A.S) and his companions gave their lives for the revival of the Islamic principles and laid the foundation of the effective movement against the falsehood, immorality, injustice, tyranny and oppression happening across time and space.
To all the brutalities which were inflicted on Imam Hussain (A.S) and his loyalists, they faced them bravely and courageously and set exemplary lessons for all of us. Every Islamic and moral task was beautifully illustrated in Karbala by the martyrs due to their honesty and commitment to their cause. These lessons of Karbala have created a treasure of high ethics and values for the whole of humanity. There are many lessons which we can learn from Karbala, one such lesson is the importance of Salat (Namaz).
